How To Redact Data to Only Report On Data with Consent/Authority for eDiscovery Cases in Pathfinder
When working on eDiscovery or consent cases, where you are not permitted to look at certain types of data, there are a few techniques within Cellebrite Pathfinder to help redact data.
On the left-hand side, there are many different categories (data sources, types, accounts, contacts, etc.) where you can choose to apply filters to redact the data.
Simply apply the “Not” filter to hide specific categories you do not have the authority to view. It is possible to use this filtering option for the opposite purpose as well – to highlight or enhance specific data categories.
Pathfinder is very useful to help narrow down persons of interest and other specific data sets that you are not authorized to see due to consent, search warrant specifications, or as a constraint of an eDiscovery type investigation.
