How do I get PA Ultra?

By becoming a Cellebrite Design Partner, you can get PA Ultra immediately. Since this scaled-up solution is midway through its development plan, it is not yet as full-featured as it will be.

What is the Cellebrite Design Partner Program?

It is a program for current users who elect to participate in Cellebrite’s product enhancement initiatives by using new software versions before final product release. Learn more about the Cellebrite Design Partner Program here.

Is PA Ultra in Beta?

Yes, as of January 2022, PA Ultra is midway through development and is being used by over 400 Cellebrite Design Partners (clients) already.

When will PA Ultra be fully ready for all clients?

The target release date for all clients of PA Ultra is May 2022.

Will I automatically get PA Ultra when I update my software?

Yes – once PA Ultra is fully released after development as part of the Cellebrite Design Partner Program, PA Ultra licenses will be interchangeable with PA 7.

Will PA Ultra allow for the review of Mac data?

The current computer data roadmap for PA Ultra includes supporting a complete, case driven intelligence picture of different digital data sources (mobile, cloud, Windows machines and Crypto), including strengthening our Windows capabilities.

When would I use PA Ultra instead of Cellebrite Inspector, and visa versa?

Why is PA Ultra only available to design partners?

PA Ultra is only available to Design Partners while it is in Beta. Once the Beta phase is complete, PA Ultra will be available to all PA users.

What is the cost of PA Ultra?

There are no incremental costs for PA Ultra for current and active PA users.

If I start using PA Ultra, will my current version of PA stop functioning?

No, users can run PA 7 and PA Ultra in parallel.

Will PA Ultra replace my PA 7 series application?

PA Ultra is the natural successor to PA 7, so it will eventually replace PA 7.

If I don’t upgrade to PA Ultra, will PA 7 still work?

Yes, PA7 will continue to work while you have a valid license. You will also still be able to install older versions of PA7 when required, provided you have a compatible license.

Is Cellebrite stopping updates for PA 7 and only updating features for PA Ultra users?

Development on PA 7 will decrease as PA Ultra becomes more established. Performance and reliability updates will continue to be made to PA 7.

What type of updates are still expected for PA 7?

  • Enhanced support for Tier 1 Applications: WhatsApp, Telegram, SnapChat
  • Support for Venmo, a popular payment app
  • Performance improvements to Cellebrite Reader
  • Additional support for new and updated applications

Which capabilities are not yet available in PA Ultra?

The capabilities that are not included in PA Ultra that exist in PA 7x can be located within the Release Notes for PA Ultra and is accessible to PA Ultra users in the Customer Portal.
